A decade ago, Mr Jeff Bezos promised that retail giant Amazon will fill the skies with drones that could drop off packages to customers in under an hour.

That vision of the future is coming into sharper focus. On Sept 6, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States took a step forward in relaxing rules for beyond visual line-of-sight drone operations for three operators, with one more expected to follow.
