Last weekend, Singapore blocked 14 online posts that claimed the country was being “overrun by Indians”.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said the content most likely originated from a China-based platform before spreading to Facebook, YouTube and X. The videos stitched together scenes from Little India, religious festivals and crowded public spaces to create the impression that Singapore is populated largely by Indians.
