Earlier this month, popular children’s TV show Sesame Street introduced its first Filipino muppet, in a move seen as being more inclusive and representative of Asian communities in the United States.

Four-year-old TJ joins seven-year-old Ji-Young, the show’s first Asian-American muppet who first appeared on screen in late 2021.
