Valentine’s Day has a way of slipping through the cracks of married life. Before marriage, it used to be a milestone celebrated over flowers and candlelit dinner. Post-marriage it’s seen with mild annoyance, another date on a crowded calendar where it feels like we are obligated to do something special. 

We tell ourselves that real love doesn’t need roses or dinner reservations. And while that may be true, I wonder if this quiet indifference reveals something more insidious. Is romance fading from our busy married lives?
