The Operational Medical Networks Informatics Integrator (OMNII) is a digital platform  that links stakeholders in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PEC) services, such as the  Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and hospitals. OMNII will be implemented nation-wide  in phases from 26th August 2021. It is a joint project between SCDF and the Ministry of Health  (MOH), with the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) as the project manager.

Today, paramedics fulfil many other roles, and some are even employed in hospitals to support operations.
