In January this year, UMNO agreed at its general assembly to pursue a grand collaboration to unite Malay and Muslim parties and to welcome the return of former members via its “Rumah Bangsa” (Home of the Malays) initiative.
The timing of this outreach to key players and parties, including those in the opposition, is significant in view of upcoming state and federal elections.
