BANGKOK – The mercury was soaring past 30 deg C in the Thai capital when a nine-months pregnant Paetongtarn Shinawatra approached the podium on April 23. She joked that the podium was placed there only to prevent her from fainting.
“But seeing how you have turned out in strength, I am full of energy!” she roared to the red-shirted Pheu Thai Party supporters gathered before her.
