This National Day, I will don red and white, and head to a gathering with some Singaporean friends, where we plan to watch the live stream of the National Day Parade.

We will watch the show and sing national songs lustily. And, of course, tuck into Singaporean fare. My potluck offering is orh kueh (yam cake) that I will pick up from a Singaporean restaurant nearby, while my friend plans to order char kway teow.
