As a child, I grew up with stories. One of my earliest memories is of spending hours on end at the old Queenstown Library, a pile of picture books beside me. Eventually, those books became titles by Enid Blyton and Daisy Meadows, then romance and science-fiction novels, poetry collections and autobiographies. Today, I write about the personal stories of myself and others.
In my work as a hospital doctor, I similarly deal in the realm of stories. Through them, I encounter patient histories.
