As Chinese New Year approaches, the season of joyous reunions and elaborate feasts brings with it an inevitable question: Where to gather for the long-awaited reunion meal?
With countless options from Singapore’s vibrant Chinese dining scene, I recently found myself scouring Chinese New Year menus for a suitable venue for a gathering. To my surprise, I noticed shark’s fin soup – a dish I assumed had largely been phased out – still prominently featured on several hotel and restaurant set menus.
