In my first year as an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS), a close friend staying in my residential college told me she only showered at 2am out of fear of being peeped at.

Earlier that semester, in the toilet closest to her room on a women-only floor, a man had peeped at a woman in the shower before fleeing. My friend said she was worried she could become the next victim.
