Foreign ministers of the Nato military bloc gathering in Brussels today know that their meeting comes at a critical historic juncture.

For this could be the occasion when the US-led alliance may have to come to terms with US President Donald Trump’s determination to force Ukraine into a ceasefire deal which sacrifices Ukrainian national interests and allows Russia to claim victory.
