By now, our best intentions for 2024 may have gone poof! So short-lived are our shiny new goals each year that Jan 17 is ingloriously dubbed the Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day. 

I’ve thought about the top three resolutions of hopeful Singaporeans, polled recently by research firm YouGov. Singaporeans plan to improve their physical health (61 per cent), manage money better (53 per cent) and spend more time with friends/family (45 per cent).
