You may have seen it: an empty, barricaded void deck at a Housing Board estate in Woodlands, with a “no football” sign plastered high on a pillar, overlooking the scene. A photo which made the rounds on social media recently caused a stir and ignited a debate about the use of public spaces in Singapore.
