By 10pm, the boys are tucked in and the house is finally quiet. My wife and I retreat to the bedroom. Most nights, we are both on our phones within minutes. But we are not doomscrolling.
She is checking the enrichment class schedule because one of the boys needs to swop a slot. I am replying to a work e-mail I told myself I would get to earlier, and somewhere between that we are also trying to figure out when exactly to book the year-end school holiday trip before the good dates disappear.
