It is apt in several ways that South Korea’s biggest boy band BTS chose to name their fifth album Arirang, after the beloved Korean folk song that has come to symbolise separation and deep longing.

The album, released on March 20, marks the group’s comeback after its seven members fulfilled their mandatory national service obligations.
