Letter of the week: Man called us a Grab and paid for our ride

The reader and her helper were trying to hail a taxi but were not successful.

My helper and I were recently helped by a Good Samaritan. We were trying to hail a taxi along Bukit Timah Road one Sunday morning but were not successful.
The man, in his 30s, was cycling along the road when he noticed us looking lost.
When he confirmed that we were looking for a cab, he immediately called a Grab for us. Within a few minutes, the vehicle arrived, and he told us he had even paid for it.
I wanted to thank him and ask for his name, but he rode off quickly on his bicycle. I found out from the Grab driver that his name is Andy Lim.
I wish to say a big thank you to him and I hope he reads this letter.
