Mustafa Centre’s move into e-commerce is a timely step as shopping habits continue to shift online.
The platform will allow more Singaporeans to access its wide range of products conveniently, especially for those who may not visit its Little India store as often.
However, Mustafa’s strength has always been its unique in-store experience – the sense of discovery, the 24-hour accessibility and the diversity of goods from around the world.
As a frequent patron of Mustafa Centre, I sincerely hope the company retains that distinctive character even as it expands digitally.
If managed well, this digital step can complement rather than replace its bricks-and-mortar identity, allowing Mustafa Centre to modernise while staying true to what makes it special to many Singaporeans.
