As a resident at Waterway Terraces in Punggol, I am concerned by a persistent issue that affects the appearance and liveability of our estate: some residents’ practice of hanging laundry on the building’s external facade. The visual clutter has become a source of distress. But beyond aesthetic concerns, this practice poses safety risks.
It is disheartening to see such disregard for the shared environment – especially in a modern, well-developed city like ours.
I have reached out to both the Punggol Town Council and HDB several times, urging them to implement meaningful enforcement measures.
To date, the situation persists.
I hope the authorities will take this matter seriously and take action to uphold the safety and visual harmony of our shared living spaces.
