Kudos to 15-year-old gymnast Amanda Yap for making history as the first Singaporean to reach a world championships final while balancing her O-level exams (Amanda Yap, 15, makes history as first S’pore gymnast to qualify for world c’ships final, Oct 23).
Her dedication, discipline and perseverance are truly inspiring. She has shown that with determination and strong support from family, coaches and school, one can excel both in sport and studies.
Congratulations, Amanda. You have truly balanced beam and books with grace and grit.
