I would like to express my appreciation to two Secondary 3 students of Raffles Girls’ School who helped me with directions recently.

On Nov 12, I alighted from a bus at the Braddell Road bus stop opposite RGS. I was heading to 351 on Braddell but couldn’t leave the bus stop because of the heavy rain. I was also feeling lost with my poor sense of direction and not knowing how to use Google Maps properly.

Then came the two RGS students, whom I approached for help. They were sweet and patient in searching on Google Maps to locate the place and give me directions.

As it was still raining heavily, they checked what buses I could take to get there instead of having to walk. They were also kind enough to ask if I had an umbrella with me.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to ask their names, but was happy I had the chance to interact with these two girls, and am glad they are part of the next generation of Singaporeans.
