I am writing to express my admiration for the brave workers who rushed to help a woman whose car had fallen into a sinkhole ( Workers used nylon rope to rescue driver of car that fell into Tanjong Katong Road sinkhole,
It is heartening to witness such selfless acts in an emergency. The quick response of the construction site foreman and his team, and their determination to rescue her quickly, are commendable.
While we celebrate this heroic rescue, it is also essential to study the circumstances that led to the sinkhole’s formation. Are there other areas that could be at risk? We must ensure that potential hazards are identified and addressed. It is reassuring to know that our government agencies are doing their best to ensure the safety of the public.
I hope the workers will be recognised for their bravery and be given an award. They have set a remarkable example for all of us.
