Singaporeans have benefited from an extensive range of government initiatives in recent years, including CDC vouchers, LifeSG credits and ActiveSG credits, and most recently, the SG Culture Pass.

These schemes help to alleviate the cost of living while also promoting healthier lifestyles and cultural participation. Yet, it can be difficult for the average citizen to keep track of them. Vouchers are released in tranches, have different expiry dates, and are spread across separate platforms.

This fragmented approach increases the risk of under-utilisation, and places an unnecessary burden on individuals.

Greater coordination would make these schemes more effective.

A practical step could be to consolidate all vouchers and credits within the Singpass app, which is already a trusted gateway for government services. A single dashboard showing balances and expiry dates, and links to the different platforms, would give citizens a clear overview of their entitlements without the need to track them manually. This would also ensure that resources achieve their intended impact rather than go unused.

The Government has demonstrated strong commitment to supporting Singaporeans through such schemes. Bringing them together on one platform would further strengthen this effort, making them both more accessible and more effective.
