It took me 15 minutes and at least seven traffic-light changes to make the right turn from Raffles Quay into Cross Street.

The short distance to the traffic light at the Cross Street-Robinson Road junction is clearly problematic, especially with the development of the Marina Bay Financial Centre area and increased through-traffic flow from Central Boulevard into Cross Street.

Should the relative timing of the lights at these junctions be better coordinated during peak hours?
