My family and I are grateful to the Marine Parade polyclinic doctors, Dr Yap Chee Mun and the emergency doctor on duty, the nurses and patient care staff, as well as SCDF ambulance paramedics who attended to my mother-in-law on Sept 14.
The Marine Parade healthcare team referred my mother-in-law quickly to Changi General Hospital and the service at the hospital’s emergency department was commendable.
The seamless collaborative teamwork, timely treatment and expert care at the polyclinic and the hospital helped control my mother-in-law’s heart condition.
I am reminded of the lyrics “Together we feel the Singapore heartbeat” from the National Day Parade 1999 theme song, Together, as I salute Singapore’s healthcare teams.
