Forum: Peru and S’pore boosting cooperation in Apec

This month, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Lima, Peru. We are honoured to welcome Mr Wong, whose visit will be his first to Latin America since assuming office as Prime Minister. The journey might be long but the visit will enhance bilateral ties. It is also timely in the context of the international environment today.

The meeting in Lima marks the conclusion of Peru’s year of hosting Apec 2024. In a world facing geopolitical divisions and economic challenges, the Apec Forum stands out as a unique non-binding platform where open economies like Peru and Singapore can work on enhancing connectivity and fostering international trade.
