SEOUL – Donald Trump has a bone to pick with South Korea.
Five years ago during his US presidential term, he had demanded a fivefold increase in South Korea’s contribution to the defence cost sharing for US troops garrisoned in the country, from US$1 billion (S$1.35 billion) to US$5 billion, threatening to pull them out if his demand was not met.
