Some green shoots emerged in an annual regional climate change survey – at the individual level, South-east Asians are showing a greater willingness to do their bit for the climate. This is a momentum that governments can build on.

The ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute survey of nearly 3,000 people in all 10 Asean nations between July 10 and Aug 17 found that not only were people taking practical steps to reduce their impact on the planet, but they were also prepared to accept a hit to their hip pocket to make a difference.
