When it comes to Singapore’s built environment, space, design and sustainability have been key considerations. Now, mental health looks set to get a bigger focus.

In June, it was announced that the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star) will be

examining the impact of urban environmental factors on mental well-being.

The three-year study will examine factors such as urban design features, density and human behaviour with the aim of developing a list of indicators that link the built environment to mental well-being.
