I'm a political liberal in that I believe Singapore needs more freedom, a more robust democracy, and a freer press.

But when it comes to budgets, I've come to realise I'm a fiscal conservative. Sometimes, I wonder if I am even more of a fiscal conservative than the famously tight-fisted People's Action Party government.
