SINGAPORE - Being diagnosed with dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as a child helped best-selling author Dav Pilkey become a better writer.
"I think my dyslexia helps me to be a more effective writer. When people are writing, they're focused on the story, the plot and the emotions - which I am as well - but I'm also focused on the effort it takes to read," says the American author and illustrator of the popular Dog Man and Captain Underpants series for children.
