SINGAPORE - Fuerdai, which translates to "rich second generation", is a pejorative Chinese term that refers to the well-off kids of the nouveau riche who splash out on expensive cars and designer goods.
So a two-month-old eatery in Serangoon Garden called Fu Er Dai begs the question: "What were the owners thinking?"
