SINGAPORE - The success of Hai Di Lao, a hotpot chain from China that went public in September last year, has shown that bubbling vats are pots of gold.

In March, it was reported that Hai Di Lao chairman, Mr Zhang Yong, and his wife Shu Ping, had grown US$5.6 billion (S$7.6 billion) richer this year, a 74 per cent jump in just over three months.
