SINGAPORE - The Glass House branch of Fish & Co will close in June due to redevelopment at Park Mall, the seafood restaurant chain said in a press release.

The branch at the Glass House is due for "permanent closure in June 2016 due to redevelopment works by Park Mall", said a statement on its website.

When contacted, a Fish & Co staff member at the Glass House said that the building will be "demolished".

"The Fish & Co team is sad to confirm that the iconic building and outlet that has played a part in everyone's school day and birthday celebrations will be gone soon," the statement said.

The restaurant at Penang Road will be conducting a series of activities from now till June to bid farewell to the building.

For the six months, there will be a 20 per cent discount for groups celebrating a birthday, and in April, there will be events for the needy and underprivileged.

The redevelopment of Park Mall was announced in June 2015.

Suntec Reit, which acquired the mall in 2005, has set up a joint venture company - in which it holds a 30 per cent stake - that will redevelop the site.

The lifestyle and home furnishing mall will become two office blocks with a retail component.
