SINGAPORE - Wedding bells rang for former Channel 8 actor Joshua Ang and air stewardess Shannon Low over the weekend, and soon, the couple will be welcoming a baby to the family.
Ang, 29, wed 27-year-old Low last Saturday (March 3) at a beach wedding in Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa.
Best known for his roles in Jack Neo's 2002 hit film I Not Stupid and its 2006 sequel I Not Stupid Too, he went on to star in several Channel 8 dramas, such as Unriddle and Your Hand In Mine, and local movies We Not Naughty and Homerun.
He left showbiz in 2012 and is currently working in a liquor company.
Ang revealed in an interview with local magazine 8 Days on Tuesday that his wife is in "the early stages of pregnancy".
"I was very happy when I found out that I was going to be a dad. We're guessing it's a boy and have even thought of a couple of names for the baby," he was quoted as saying.
About 180 guests attended their wedding, including Ang's I Not Stupid co-star Shawn Lee.
The couple met about two years ago while Ang was studying for a part-time degree in Murdoch University.
Last December, he popped the question at Potato Head Beach Club during their fourth trip to Bali, and shared the news in an Instagram post.
He posted several photos from his wedding on Instagram on Wednesday, including one of the blissful couple sharing a kiss against a backdrop of fireworks.
Other photos showed them posing with their entourage next to a Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Kombi.
"Thank you all so much for making our special day so magical," he wrote in the post.
