LOS ANGELES - Director Stanley Kubrick's 1980 horror film The Shining is widely hailed as a classic, but one person who never liked it much is Stephen King, whose 1977 book it is based on.
King has made no bones about his hatred of the movie, which he felt was misogynistic and miscast, among other things.
