SINGAPORE - Mandopop queen Stefanie Sun is back with a new studio album, A Dancing Van Gogh.

It is available for pre-orders and will be released on Nov 9. Her last album was 2014's Kepler, her first after giving birth in 2012.

In a clip posted by Universal Music Taiwan on Facebook on Oct 12, she introduced her new record saying: "A Dancing Van Gogh is rationality and wild merriment proceeding in parallel, it's exciting and I'm very happy."

She adds in a statement: "I've always struggled between rationality and craziness in my heart of hearts. I've often wished to say that I can't possibly be the only one, there must be plenty of others like me in the world, people who've been bestowed a little craziness as well."

The title track starts off as a spare mid-tempo track which builds to a dramatic chorus, with even a choir chiming in eventually. The official music video was uploaded to YouTube on Oct 22 and has notched up over 686,000 views thus far

The second single I'm Very Happy will be aired on major Asian radio stations on Oct 31 and the accompanying music video will be released on Nov 4.
