The last Singapore Idol winner is off the market.

Sezairi Sezali, 28, the third winner of the singing competition, solemnised his marriage to long-time girlfriend Syaza Qistina Tan, 25, this afternoon.

The closed-door affair for 150 guests was held at the Timbre Music Academy Hall in Old Parliament Lane.

Aside from relatives, the guest list had familiar faces from the entertainment scene. Guests included three members of The Sam Willows - sans lead singer Benjamin Kheng - and local rappers Sheikh Haikel and Kevin Lester. Radio DJ and Singapore Idol alumnus Tabitha Nauser was a bridesmaid at the wedding.

Following the religious ceremony, the couple, who dated for seven years, each gave a speech. They were both emotional as they talked about each other and their families.

In his speech, Sezairi said of his Chinese-Malay bride: "Some people ask me who I would attribute my successes to, and even before I was this Idol guy, or when I was a struggling musician, Syaza was the one who told me, 'There's nothing I believe you can't do'."

The bride, an events executive at a hotel, looked gorgeous in a white wedding gown with a lace top. Complementing her, Sezairi wore a traditional Malay outfit with a white-and-silver theme. They said their vows on a stage decorated with miniature white trees.

The couple were officially engaged on Valentine's Day last year. He had proposed a few months before on the set of local historical movie 1965, in which he made his acting debut as a police constable.

The proposal video, which was uploaded onto his YouTube page, has attracted over 27,000 hits.

The singer-songwriter released his debut album Take Two in 2010 and has put out hits such as Sayang, which means "love" in Malay, and Jangan Coba Berlari, which translates as "don't try to run".

He has branched out into acting, and appeared in Wild Rice's December pantomime, The Emperor's New Clothes.

Sezairi's nuptials come after those of Taufik Batisah, the first Singapore Idol, who got married last April. The second winner, Hady Mirza, tied the knot in Johor Baru two years ago.

Sezairi will hold a larger wedding ceremony in either August or September.
