SOUTH KOREA - BTS, the first K-pop group to top the US Billboard 200 album charts, have been included in Time magazine's 25 Most Influential People on the Internet list released on Thursday (Jun 28).
The South Korean boyband are in a company of personalities that include US President Donald Trump, pop stars Rihanna and Kanye West as well as celebrity Kylie Jenner, notes Yonhap news agency.
In its write-up, Time says that the group is running high on its "passionate social fanbase" who "eagerly consume anything related to the group, from tweets to videos".
BTS has also been at the top of Billboard's Social 50 rankings for 89 weeks, a list that charts artists who are most active on social media.
The group's Billboard-topping third album, Love Yourself: Tear, was released in May.
