SINGAPORE - Taiwan-born, Japan-raised songbird Judy Ongg's father introduced her to Chinese culture, literature and jazz music. He wrote Chinese lyrics for her songs, and taught her to appreciate nature's beauty as well as have a positive attitude to love and life.

He died last year at the age of 95 and her latest album, Always, is dedicated to him.
