SINGAPORE - Demand for tickets to homegrown singer JJ Lin's concert remains strong even after two shows were added.
Concert tickets for his two additional shows on Aug 15 and 16 went on sale at 10am on Monday (June 25), and the 16,000 tickets were sold out by 12.20pm.
The two shows at the Singapore Indoor Stadium were added last week for his JJ Lin Sanctuary World Tour after the first two shows on Aug 18 and 19 were sold out.
Lin, 37, is the first local singer to hold four straight concerts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
According to Lianhe Wanbao, some fans queued overnight at the box office from Sunday for the tickets, while some netizens said they were unable to get the tickets even though they entered the online queue at 10am on Monday.
Concert promoter Unusual Entertainment has confirmed to The Straits Times that no further shows will be added.
Lin was nominated for six awards at the just concluded 29th Golden Melody Awards, but he went home empty-handed.
