The Backstreet Boys are back with a new song after five years.

But fans of the 1990s boyband need not worry - the group has retained its signature cheesy dance moves and slick choreography.

The song, called Don't Go Breaking My Heart, was released with a music video on Thursday (May 17), to the delight of BSB fans worldwide.

The band had earlier announced on Twitter on May 15 that they would be dropping a new single.

Last month, Backstreet Boy members Nick Carter, 38, Kevin Richardson, 46, Howie Dorough, 44, Brian Littrell, 43, and AJ McLean, 40, had celebrated the band's 25th birthday.

The band was formed in 1993 by the five Orlando, Florida, natives.

They are best known for their 1999 hit, I Want It That Way.

The group was in Singapore last October at the National Stadium - the only Asian stop for the American group's Larger Than Life tour.
