Arts groups prepare for another blow to box office

New travel restrictions and tighter social distancing measures will affect the number of people who go to watch live performances

The Singapore Chinese Orchestra's (above) programme for the second half of the year will limit international guests, and its live concerts will be recorded for its #dabaoSCO online concert initiative.

Arts group The Finger Players is going ahead with its new play Citizen X, which opens next Thursday at the Drama Centre's Black Box.

Co-artistic director Ellison Tan Yuyang, 29, points out that the audience capacity for the venue is 120, less than the new government limit of 250 participants at ticketed events.
