SINGAPORE - Painting an outdoor mural is hard work. Artist superfreakyfantasy says the heat and humidity in Singapore is an energy sapper. "At the end of the day you're exhausted."
The 48-year-old, along with other artists, has been hard at work in Muscat Street in Kampong Glam, turning a once-dull back alley into a riot of colours. Along the stretch of shophouse walls are his abstract murals inspired by psychedelic pop illustrations, a pair of giant hands playing "goli" (marbles), a painting of the golden dome of the nearby Sultan Mosque as well as a series of cavorting cartoony aliens and flowers.
