SINGAPORE – Mr Tan Kian Hwa used to return home sweaty and dirty from his first job as a technician at Kone Singapore, which makes lifts and escalators.
“If you spend half an hour inside the lift shaft, you’ll be all wet from sweating. It’s hard work,” says the 52-year-old.
