SABAH, Malaysia – I step carefully onto the wooden platform of a floating sea enclosure. It is located about 20m offshore from a powdery sand beach in Sabah, Malaysia, where guests at Gaya Island Resort are frolicking in the balmy waters of the South China Sea.
Under the watchful eye of the resort’s resident marine biologist Scott Mayback, I gently toss pieces of frozen squid into the water.
