SINGAPORE – China will usher in the Year of the Horse with a nine-day national holiday, giving millions of Chinese travellers an extended window to head overseas for Chinese New Year. 

Singapore has emerged as their second-most searched destination for the festive period in 2026, according to travel booking platform Booking.com. Searches for Singapore among Chinese travellers surged 425 per cent between 2025 and 2026, placing it just behind Paris. Bangkok ranked third.
