BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA – The road from Montenegro to Bosnian capital Sarajevo is riddled with potholes, causing our sport utility vehicle (SUV) to rattle and lurch as our family of four approaches the village of Hum, where the border crossing station is located.
Across a rickety bridge, we encounter a disinterested Customs officer who stamps our passports and waves us through without a second glance.
