NEW YORK CITY – Seated at a table in Zucker’s Bagels & Smoked Fish deli, I unwrap my bagel, the first I have had since arriving in New York City (NYC). The smell of juicy corned beef, sauerkraut, creamy Russian dressing and oozing Swiss cheese makes my mouth water.
“Today, you folks are going to be getting the best of both worlds,” says my guide, Mr Justin Van Voorhis. “You’re tasting the best New York sandwich, the Reuben, and, rather than getting it on toasted rye bread, this one is on a traditional New York bagel.”
