Part of the joy of travelling lies in two small comforts: bringing home something you can only get in that one place, and stumbling upon a familiar taste when you least expect it. On the Disney Adventure
At the World of Disney store, the ship’s main retail space, shelves are stocked with the familiar plush toys and Mouse Ear headbands one would expect. But look a little closer and collectors will find pieces created exclusively for Disney Cruise Line’s (DCL) first ship based in Asia – designed with Singapore in mind.
One merchandise line will pay tribute to Singapore’s iconic skyline and landmarks, while another takes a more graphic approach, using geometric tile prints inspired by the city’s native flora and fauna, from curious otters to tropical plants. Together, they create keepsakes that feel specific to this voyage.
The designs are by Singaporean visual artist Danielle Tay, created as part of the ship’s Local Artist Series. Her signature whimsical, colourful style brings these local elements to life onto everyday items such as plate sets, tea towels and tote bags – items you can use, enjoy or proudly display at home.
Ms Tay has also left her mark onboard with a mural depicting Mickey Mouse and friends arriving in Singapore, framed by landmarks locals will immediately recognise. It is a small but charming reminder of where the ship begins its journey.

Beyond retail, familiar home-grown brands also make their presence felt. For the first time on a DCL ship, both Bacha Coffee and TWG Tea are available onboard, thoughtfully reimagined to fit the ship’s theatrical settings.
Bacha Coffee is served in a dedicated coffee room with interiors inspired by Aladdin, where guests can take a pause over the brand’s signature brews. The Bacha Coffee Boutique carries its trademark gift boxes, packaged coffees and accessories – easy souvenirs that rarely disappoint.
TWG Tea, meanwhile, is housed in an elegant setting inspired by Beauty and the Beast. Guests can browse a curated selection of blends, including several exclusives created for the Disney Adventure, alongside tea-infused treats such as macarons and pastries.
The Takeaway Tea experience is also available for those on the move, while a range of signature accessories caters to those looking to expand their tea collection.
These spaces are designed for everyone to enjoy – the draw lies in the simple comfort of sipping a familiar, well-loved brew at sea. Both Bacha Coffee and TWG Tea are also served across the ship, from restaurants and lounges to spas, staterooms and concierge spaces.
That sense of familiarity extends to the food as well. Alongside an array of international selections, guests can find favourites such as Laksa Lemak and Hainanese Chicken Rice, as well as specialty and zero-proof cocktails that spotlight ingredients like pandan and tea.
For collectors, flavour-seekers and travellers who enjoy meaningful details, these local touches add an unexpected layer to the voyage. Even while sailing far from shore, the Disney Adventure
